Diagnostic

Initial cardiology consultation

An unhurried 45‑minute appointment to talk through your symptoms, history and concerns. Includes a full clinical examination and, where useful, a same‑day ECG. You’ll leave with a written summary, a clear plan, and direct contact details if anything changes.

Imaging

Echocardiogram

A painless ultrasound of the heart, performed by Dr Das or a senior cardiac physiologist working alongside him. Used to assess heart muscle function, valve disease and pressures — with results explained to you in the same visit, not weeks later.

Rhythm

ECG, 24-hour & 7-day monitoring

From a quick resting ECG to ambulatory monitors worn at home, we use the right test for the right question — never more, never less. All recordings are personally reported by Dr Das, with a written explanation in everyday language.

Stress Testing

Exercise tolerance & stress echo

Treadmill or pharmacological stress tests with simultaneous imaging — the gold standard for assessing exercise‑induced chest pain and unexplained breathlessness. Performed in fully equipped cardiac rooms with a consultant physically present throughout.

Advanced Imaging

Cardiac CT & calcium scoring

A low‑dose CT scan of the coronary arteries — increasingly the first‑line investigation for chest pain in adults under 60. Calcium scoring offers one of the most powerful predictors of long‑term cardiovascular risk we have. Reports turned around in 48 hours.

Long-Term Care

Hypertension & cholesterol management

A measured, individualised approach to managing high blood pressure and lipids — built around your life, your tolerance for medication and your goals. Most patients are reviewed every 3–6 months; many can be safely managed by post and phone between visits.

Atrial fibrillation & arrhythmia clinic

A dedicated pathway for patients with atrial fibrillation, ectopic beats and inherited rhythm disorders. Includes anticoagulation review, rhythm vs rate strategy, and onward referral for ablation when it’s the right step. We also see family members for screening.

Comprehensive assessment and longitudinal care for patients with reduced ejection fraction, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy and other cardiomyopathies. Close liaison with the heart failure nursing team and, where appropriate, transplant centres.
